Hold the flame to the base of the wick to light candle. The first time you light your pillar or globe-shaped candle allow it to burn for two hours to develop its "melt pool." This will promote a better burning candle that will maintain its shape. The photo at right of Feelin' Ferny illustrates a lovely melt pool after a 2 hour and 15 minute initial burn.
Trim wick to 1/4" before each burn to maintain a beautiful flame.
